Ohio To Limit Solitary Confinement For Juveniles

Ohio is now one of a handful of states to restrict the use of solitary confinement for juveniles.

The move stems from a Justice Department investigation that found Ohio’s youth prisons frequently use long-term solitary confinement, especially for prisoners with mental illness.

The new changes will apply to all children in Ohio’s prison system.
