Director Liz Garbus discusses her new documentary, “What Happened Miss Simone?” The film interweaves never-before-heard recordings and rare archival footage together with Nina's most memorable songs, to create a portrait of one of the least understood, yet most beloved, artists of our time. The film appears on Netflix June 26 and at the IFC Center on June 24.
Liz Garbus will be holding a Q&A on June 24 after the 7:20pm screening at IFC Center.
