Monica Flaherty and Moana.

Bruce Posner talks about restoring the acclaimed documentary "Moana with Sound." The original "Moana" was filmed in Samoa by legendary documentarian Robert Flaherty and his wife. It was released as a silent film in 1926 to much acclaim. Over 50 years later, their daughter, Monica, returned to the same island where it was filmed and recorded authentic audio, creating a completely synchronized sound track for the previously silent film. It was released in 1980 as "Moana with Sound."

EVENT: Bruce Posner will introduce the 6:00 P.M. screening of "Moana with Sound," at Film Forum, 209 West Houston Street, New York, NY 10014, on November 13th.
