"judging by her sarcasm she doesn't seem to like the athletes very much."

What do expect from a smug "journalist" who apparently has no concept of what it takes to sacrifice and commit thousands of hours to a sustained, focused effort. (Certainly not required in this field and, LOL, not evident from the show.) All you need for modern "journalism" is a superior sense of entitlement and the membership card of "progressive" political leanings.

Perhaps my sense of humor hasn't woken up yet, but though the host may profess a love for the Olympics, judging by her sarcasm she doesn't seem to like the athletes very much.

I posted this comment on the wrong page...sorry for duplication!
1.) FAVE moment - Julia Mancuso winning bronze---her reaction was priceless. She's a heavily decorated female Olympian, yet we are still talking about Shaun White & Bode Miller (whom are know are heavily decorated but have fizzled this Olympics). Along that line--why are we not talking about all the women Olympians showing up on the medal stands???
2.) Plushenko's departure is suspect.
3.) NBC's coverage STINKS. Watching online is SLOW and heavily commercial-laden. The TODAY show drivel is inane and does not add to the viewing experience, but rather takes away from it.

So strange to have this guy discuss sports. His voice/on-air demeanor absolutely enervates. Where is Mike Pesca??

My Sochi story so far is very local and yet, farther from NYC than you might expect...
