Born John Herndon Mercer (Nov. 18, 1909 - June 25, 1976), Johnny Mercer was an American lyricist and composer. His work dominates the Great American Songbook with a catalogue of over 1,500 songs. Aside from being a prolific songwriter, Mercer was a popular singer and co-founder of Capitol Records.

Today, The Jonathan Channel celebrates the birth of this legendary man with 7 hours of Johnny Mercer. In addition to the great music you have come to expect from us, there are 3 scheduled blocks of nothing but Mercer; 10am - 12 noon ET, 4pm - 7pm ET and 10pm to midnight ET.

Join in the celebration!

I have been trying and would love to listen to Jonathan, but this is the most user unfriendly website that I have ever encountered. I press "Listen Live" and nothing happens. What is the secret for actually being able to tune in. Also each time I try to click onto something that appears to connect me with something I would like to hear, an interminable array of popups appears.
