We publish a Red Hook community newspaper and were surprised at Carlos' win. Not often that a 2 term incumbent gets beaten by a political newcomer, although Mr. Menchaca has worked for both Marty Markowitz and Christine Quinn. In fact it was as a Quinn employee that he came to Red Hook in the first place - serving as her eyes and ears on the ground immediately after Sandy.

Ugh, really? We need more police on the street? I don't think so. John Liu was right we need less. We don't need to spend money on more cops.

Oh, please. Enough already.
Leftism is just another religion. Brian Lehrer is one of the priests and these endless tedious "First abc of xyz" stories are the prayers they repeat.
