Matthew Rhys Plays a Scottish Captain in France During WWII

Director Christian Carion discusses his film, “Come What May,” starring Matthew Rhys. The French film is set in the the small village of Lebucquere in May 1940 as the German army invades Belgium and France. The villagers evacuate and flee to the coast. One villager with a mysterious past, is separated from the rest and reluctantly partners with a Scottish officer, Percy (Rhys), a soldier of the British Expeditionary Force whose entire unit was killed, and is trying to get a boat back to England. 

"Come What May" opens Friday, September 9th at the Paris Theater (4 West 58th St.) and Angelika Film Center (18 West Houston St.).
