The Man Behind the Brand

There’s a tiny museum in New York that’s easy to pass by unless you know it’s there. Located in Lower Manhattan, Mmuseumm is just large enough for you and your four closest friends to visit — because it’s in an old elevator shaft. The museum specializes in pop cultural items.

Collector Max Abelson contributed some of his personal pieces for their recent exhibit, “Donald Trump: The Message is the Medium.” It’s a 15-piece collection of objects with the Trump brand including Trump cufflinks, cologne, vodka, and a board game. “Most politicians are known to voters because of their political experience,” says Abelson, “but Donald Trump, especially a year ago, he didn't really have any traditional political experience to speak of. Instead, what he had was this sort of history of merchandise.”
