Loudon Wainwright III discusses his new memoir Liner Notes: On Parents & Children, Exes & Excess, Death & Decay, & a Few of My Other Favorite Things. Loudon details his life, family and music career -- from his childhood as the son of Life magazine columnist Loudon Wainwright, Jr., to becoming the head of one of America’s great musical families. He is the former husband of Kate McGarrigle and Suzzy Roche, and father of Rufus Wainwright, Martha Wainwright, Lucy Wainwright Roche, and Lexie Kelly Wainwright.

Loudon Wainwright III will appear in conversation with Hendrick Hertzberg as part of his book release event at The Strand (828 Broadway at 12th St.) on Sept. 7th at 7 p.m.
