Oh, Those Naughty '90s

The 1990s were a controversial and scandal-ridden decade. In his latest book, The Naughty Nineties: The Triumph of the American Libido, editor, curator, and Emmy-winning documentary producer, David Friend, explores what happened when Baby Boomers took over Washington, D.C. He revisits stories involving figures such as Anita Hill, Monica Lewinsky, Joan Rivers and Jesse Jackson.

David Friend will appear in conversation with Maureen Dowd and Brian Stelter on Sept. 14 at the 92Y (1395 Lexington Ave., between 91st and 92nd St.) at 8 p.m.
