Announcer Rex Benware introduces the radio premiere of choreographer Catherine Littlefield's ballet Ladies' Better Dresses.
Irving Deakin talks briefly about Littlefield and the Philadelphia Ballet Company and the composer Herbert Kingsley, who wrote the music for Ladies' Better Dresses.
Littlefield describes the opening scene of the ballet and music from the ballet (arranged for two pianos by Kingsley) is played by Kingsley and Clifford Herzer accompanied by Littlefield's commentary. Deakin provides closing remarks regarding Littlefield and her ballet. Kingsley performs his musical settings of Langston Hughes' poems Lament Over Love and Ballad of the Gypsy. Closing remarks and announcements.
