Comedians Judy Gold and Alan Zweibel, along with filmmaker Ferne Pearlstein join us to discuss her new documentary “The Last Laugh,” about taboos in comedy. Will Shortz, editor of The New York Times crossword puzzle, joins us to discuss the 75th anniversary of the paper’s legendary puzzle. Amy Harmon, Pulitzer Prize-winning national correspondent for The New York Times, joins us to discuss her recent piece, “Beyond ‘Hidden Figures’: Nurturing New Black and Latino Math Whizzes” about a NYC camp for pre-teens from lower income public schools who all have a high math aptitude. Harmon will be joined by three of the students in the program: Thays Garcia, Jonathan “JJ” Jackson and Emyr Willis
