Lee Ann Womack Performs Live from Her New Album

The Leonard Lopate Show | Nov 2, 2017

Grammy-winning country music singer/songwriter Lee Ann Womack discusses her new album “The Lonely, the Lonesome and the Gone” and performs live in our studio. In an interview about the album with Rolling Stone, Womack said, "I wanted to get out of Nashville, and tap the deep music and vibe of East Texas. I wanted to make sure this record had a lot of soul in it, because real country music has soul. I wanted to remind people of that." There are 14 songs on the album including a George Jones cover ( "Take the Devil Out of Me").

Event: Lee Ann Womack will be performing at Rough Trade (64 North 9th Street) on Nov. 6 at 8:30 p.m. For tickets and more information, click here
