Larry Wilmore, Alan Zweibel and Pamela Adlon discuss the art of comedy writing. Zweibel was an original Saturday Night Live writer, the co-creator and producer for It’s Gary Shandling’s Show and a five-time Emmy Award-winner and author. Larry Wilmore was the Emmy-winning host of The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, and his credits include Black-ish, The Daily Show With Jon Stewart and host of the 2016 White House Correspondents Dinner. Emmy-winner Pamela Adlon created and stars in FX’s Better Things. She also voiced Bobby Hill on King of the Hill, wrote for and appeared in Louie and Californication.

Event: The Friars Club and the New York Comedy Festival present "Comedy Writers Round Table III" featuring five acclaimed comedy writers. Alan Zweibel will be moderating a panel that includes Larry Wilmore, Pamela Adlon, Mike Reiss and Phil Rosenthal on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. at the New York Friars Club (57 E 55th St.).
