Larry Brilliant, doctor, philanthropist, Chair of the Skoll Global Threats Fund, co-founder of Seva and The Well, and former director of Google.org, discusses his memoir, Sometimes Brilliant: The Impossible Adventure of a Spiritual Seeker and Visionary Physician Who Helped Conquer the Worst Disease in History. Brilliant traces his life’s unlikely trajectory, from his early days as a young doctor who followed the hippie trail from London over the Khyber Pass, to his key role at the World Health Organization helping to eradicate smallpox.
