Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon Bring Their True Love Story to Film In 'The Big Sick'

Actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani joins us to discuss his new film, “The Big Sick,” along with his wife, Emily V. Gordon, who co-wrote the film, based on their real-life courtship. It tells the story of Pakistan-born aspiring comedian Kumail, who connects with grad student Emily, played by Zoe Kazan, after one of his stand-up sets. When Emily is beset with a mystery illness, it forces Kumail to navigate the medical crisis with her parents, as well as his own.

Opens on June 23rd in New York City at AMC Loews Lincoln Square and Regal Cinemas Union Square.
