Indie rocker Kevin Morby has seen a lot of America.The Texas-born singer and songwriter has lived in Brooklyn and LA, but his heart is in the Midwest. His new record is called Little Wide Open, and is a mix of indie and heartland rock. On his song, “Javelin,” he ends up back in Kansas, “alone in the middle of Middle America,” as he sings early on, musing about travel, the idea of home, and, ultimately, what it means to love in troubled times. Kevin Morby plays June 10 at Brooklyn Steel.
