Huge Waters fan. Where's the Carolla interview, though?

Havent read the book yet but I hope one of the worst case scenarios involved John being brainwashed to some extreme religious orientation and/or voluntarily joining a cult and never coming home ;-p

It shows what a good country we've become if he at age 66, being Gay and all, could get cross-country without bodily harm.

Count me as one of those who'd pick up Waters in a heartbeat. Traveling west in the U.S. can be a boring affair (imagine the Ohio Tpk. Horrors!); I'd probably go a few hundred miles out of my way for the privilege.

And the NYPL is making his appearance at the Union Sq. B&N a paid affair tonight? What's that??

Brilliant. I would have driven him all the way to SF just to hang out with him.

I would consider it a PRIVILEGE to pick up John Waters for a ride or in bar or anywhere! Can't imagine a more entertaining travel companion. JOHN WATERS, we love you up here in the Bronx!
