Jazz Singer Audra Mariel Takes over for Jonathan Schwartz

New Standards | Sep 26, 2014

About a month ago we featured the new self-titled release from jazz singer Audra Mariel. The response we received was impressive, we heard you and have decided to bring her back into the studio to host an hour of her favorite records.

For those of you who missed her the first time - here's what you need to know. Mariel is a jazz vocalist and NYC native, who was inspired at an early age by the American songbook. Throughout her career, she's moved between jazz and the Songbook (as people are want to do) and a recent trip to New Orleans reinitiated her love of all things jazz. Her latest release Audra Mariel, unites her two passions (jazz + Songbook).

Tune in Friday at 11 AM for an hour of music hand-picked by Mariel. You'll hear the music that has inspired her career and you'll even hear some tracks from her latest self-titled release.
