Dallas Shooting and the Intersection of Police and Guns

Five Dallas police officers were killed and seven others were wounded Thursday night in a coordinated sniper attack. The violence continued into Friday morning when police killed at least two of the snipers who were in a parking garage. 

The reality of a country awash with guns is that police are going to confront suspects who have both legal and illegal weapons.
