As the president of the Janel Towers Tenants Association located in the Senator's district we would like to know when our Senator will make rent reform a priority? Our building houses 229 working class families who are struggling to make ends meet with skyrocketing rents. We need Senator Klein to pass the repeal of vacancy decontrol and see that the system that allows landlords to issue major capital improvement rent increases gets reformed. If the Senator truly cares about working class families he must start with preserving the affordability of our existing housing that we live in.

Klein giving Brian "a history lesson." That's rich. His interpretation of the brief period the democrats held the Senate totally revisionist. Failure then was tied to Dinos prepared to play footsie with republicans. Espada, Monserratte, and the other amigos.

I am just completely disgusted about the proposal that money would be spent on tax deductions for private schools. This will not help me as a middle class parent for the reasons that Josh suggested. There are now private schools that charge $60,000 a year due to the increase in the ultra-wealthy. Plus they are not going to accept any but a tiny fraction of "token" students of the right kind of tokens in their schools. I want funding for REAL public schools so that every child in this city has a school just as good as the public schools my son had the good fortune to attend in our neighborhood.

Does Mr. Klein support bringing control of NYC rent laws, better known as the Urstadt law, back to NYC? And, if not, why not? It's time to end Albany's control of NYC's rent laws.

This guy's constituents lost when they sent him to Albany!

He's clearly not there to answer your questions, Brian. Keep pushing.

Allowing tax deductions for private school tuition will result in

A) The schools raising their tuition charges, thereby taking taxpayer money with no real gain for them.

B) Speed the destruction of public education, as taxpayer money is diverted from public schools to private schools, increasing inequality

It is bad, bad public policy

Get this guy off the air -- fake Democrat without the nerve or sense to join the party he really supports, the Republicans. Traitor to his constituents.

Will Brian ask Mr. Klein about the preferences his politically connected law firm gets from Bronx courts to handle probate cases?
