Does the song lyric have it right? Is "making it" in New York, New York different from success elsewhere?
Making it in The Bay or LA means more. To make it in NYC you just need to be a third world oligarch or a legacy admission to an elite undergrad. Making it in Cali actually takes talent and/or innovation.
What a happy show!!! Everybody is making it in NYC.Great place to be. Nobody fails .
Of course it's different here because they're so many benchmarks to get over here in Gotham.
• Good grammar/HS school (or should I say the 'right' school, e.g. brooklyn tech, p.s. 321 in ps)
• At least 83k (each) if you want to live in a neighborhood near the core or amenities
• Owning real estate and having some kind of financial portfolio
The sad part about it is most of us here are not even aware of them; But thats due to knowledge and being in the know...
i dont think i've heard the word love yet. what about it?
