Mike Wallace On How New York Became A Modern City

Mike Wallace joins to discuss the sequel to his Pulitzer-prize winning book, Greater Gotham: A History of New York City from 1898 to 1919. He looks at how New York transformed during this time into the modern city and financial center that has defined its image throughout the 20th century.

Mike Wallace will appear in conversation with Sam Roberts at the CUNY Graduate Center Proshansky Auditorium (365 5th Ave., at E. 34th St.) on Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m. 

He will also appear at the Brooklyn Historical Society (128 Pierrepont St., Brooklyn) on Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m.
