The Leonard Lopate Show | Feb 20, 2017

U.S. Senator and former federal prosecutor Sheldon Whitehouse joins us to discuss his new book Captured: The Corporate Infiltration of American Democracy, which examines corporate influence on politics and policy from the Senate Floor. Whitehouse, a Democratic senator from Rhode Island, explains how money extends from PACs to lobbyists to the Supreme Court and how Republicans, in particular, have succumbed to the lure of ill-gotten gains.

Senator Whitehouse will be speaking at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at 47-49 East 65th St. on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:00pm. For more information, click here.
