How you can tell the air conditioning isn't working: passengers flee.

WNYC's Kate Hinds reported on what are known as "hot cars"—subway cars where the air conditioners don’t work, finding that most hot cars are on the 1 and 6 lines. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says it is alerted to 12 to 16 of them each day. Brian asked listeners for their hot car horror stories.
