Bringing "Hir" to the Stage

Director Niegel Smith and actors Kristine Nielson and Tom Phelan discuss their play, “Hir,” about a veteran who comes home to help take care of his ailing father, only to discover a household in revolt.  His mother and transgender sibling go on a crusade to dismantle the patriarchy.  At Playwrights Horizons’ Peter Jay Sharp Theater through January 3.
