The Greening Of The High Line

The Leonard Lopate Show | Jun 6, 2017

Rick Darke joins us to discuss his book, Gardens of the High Line: Elevating the Nature of Modern Landscapes, along with Andi Pettis, director of horticulture at the High Line. They discuss the process of converting an abandoned railroad into a green walkway. They will also explore the different gardens and plants you can discover on the High Line from exotics to drought-tolerant perennials to grasses.

The book launches on June 9 with an event in partnership with the Garden Conservancy at 11:30 a.m. at La.venue (608 West 28th St., at 11th Ave.).

You find a list of events happening at the High Line here.
