I need someone to explain how contraception is a healthcare issue, it shouldn't have to be covered under insurance? The primary purpose of contraceptive methods is not to prevent disease, it's primary use is for personal convenience.

I am not against the use of contraception but don't really understand why it is such a hot topic in regard to health care.
