Here's the List of New Dual Language Programs

New York City schools are adding 25 new dual language programs and expanding an additional 15 next school year, including dual language classes in Japanese and Hebrew for the first time, education officials said.

The new programs opening in September will also teach students in Spanish and Mandarin.

In dual language programs, students split their time learning in English and in a foreign language with the goal of making enrolled students fluent in both languages. 

The city currently has about 150 dual language programs in the five boroughs; most of them are elementary school programs but not all.

To apply, families should contact the schools directly. Here are the 25 new programs expected to open in the fall:
