Here Today, Gondola Tomorrow?

WNYC News | Apr 20, 2017

According to the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, when it comes to long commutes on and off the island, "there is a light at the end of the tunnel...or in this case at the end of the Bayonne Bridge."

The SIEDC's alternative to the ferry is an aerial gondola, which would connect to a New Jersey Transit light rail station...which connects to the PATH train...which brings commuters into Manhattan. The group is seeking funding for a feasibility study.

The gondola will be touring Staten Island for the next several days. Find out where it is here.
