From the Sensuous to the Surreal, the Comedy of Life
The Leonard Lopate Show | Jul 10, 2017
Award-winning Norwegian essayist, poet and fiction writer Gunhild Øyehaug discusses her new collection of short stories, Knots. Her stories weave together a mix of sensuous, surreal and comical tales -- including one about a young man is born with an uncuttable umbilical cord who spends his life physically tethered to his mother, and another about a young girl whose bicycle breaks down during her attempt to run away from home.
Gunhild Øyehaug will be speaking at Scandinavia House at 58 Park Ave (between 37th and 38th St.). on Tuesday, July 11 at 7:00 PM. Click here for more information.
