Jan Reeder, Consulting Curator for the Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, discussed the exhibition "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" on May 28, 2014. She shared a few of her favorite things with us.

What have you read or seen lately (book, play, film, etc.) that moved or surprised you?

         Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Mendelsohn Chorus concert at Carnegie Hall, May 10, 2014. Ave Verum - last movement of Mozart's Requiem. A suddenly transcendent moment where all earthly matters were suspended for several moments no one was breathing!

What are you listening to right now?

         New collection of Bach's Best courtesy of public radio WQXR. Fabulous.

 What’s the last great book you read?

         Ross King's The Judgment of Paris, about the origins of Impressionism

 What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

         Horseback riding on Western Dude Ranch

 What’s your favorite comfort food?

         Frozen yogurt - self-serve especially
