Bonnie Raitt was on the Leonard Lopate Show to talk about her career, starting her own label, and winning her 10th Grammy for her latest album, Slipstream. She also told us what she's been listening to -- somehow, we're not surprised that it's an eclectic mix. 

What have you read or seen over the past year (book, play, film, etc…) that moved or surprised you?

            Beast of the Southern Wild
         “This Ain’t No Mouse Music” – documentary (not out yet)


What are you listening to right now?

            Lizz Wright – “Dreaming Wide Awake
         Afropop Worldwide podcasts


What’s the last great book you read?

            A lot of short stories – New Yorker fiction
         “A Freeweelin’ Time” by Suze Rotolo


What’s one thing you’re a fan of that people might not expect?

            Some hard rock – Calypso, Madagascar music, D’Gary


What’s your favorite comfort food?

            Popcorn or chocolate
