Springsteen and Fallon Jam on Christie and Bridgegate

Wednesday, January 15, 2014

New Jersey governor Chris Christie took some ribbing last night from his favorite rock star about his role in the lane-closures on the George Washington bridge last fall.

On NBC's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" Tuesday night, Fallon sang a parody of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run". He was then joined by an identically-dressed Bruce Springsteen.

[I like the Kimmel variety of Jimmy too]
I think the Fallon skit stung ever more due to Christie's "Man-Crush" on Bruce. I think it was the Gov's attitude towards BAMS after Sandy that got the Bruce to give the Christie a phone call...imagine they discover now that there really were improprieties in relief aid.
Shameful Chris Christie, if so.

To tell the truth, out of "the Jimmys" I watch Kimmel instead of Fallon, but boy that guy does nail the music acts he imitates. Good for a good laugh. And good for Bruce for poking his biggest fanboy politician.
