Thursday, February 27, 2014

Today, Al Jazeera will launch a number of events across the globe in support of the four detained journalists in Egypt.

The “Global Day of Action,” which will include vigils and stands of solidarity, is the latest movement in the #FreeAJStaff campaign, which hopes to raise awareness and pressure Egyptian authorities to release the Al Jazeera journalists.

NPR correspondent David Folkenflik joins Here & Now’s Meghna Charkrabarti to discuss the latest on the detained journalists and the viral media campaign aimed at winning their release.
