In modern popular music, Bob Dylan is often referred to as The Bard—a title that probably won’t go away now that he’s a Nobel prize winner. Be that as it may, there can only be one “The Bard” – even if he’s been gone for 400 years. 2016 marks four centuries years since the death of William Shakespeare. And THAT Bard was actually swimming in music, too, even if we don’t have any recordings. Tonight, early music ensemble Collectio Musicorum performs some of those works to celebrate THE towering genius of Western literature – all due apologies to Bob. Admission is FREE.
