Gig Alert: Mozart: "The Magic Flute" at the Metropolitan Opera
Tickets: $20-$295 (Standing Room - Parterre seating)

Mozart’s The Magic Flute is an opera set in a mystical world full of elusive imagery. But in the hands of director Julie Taymor, it’s also a visual feast for the whole family. Her abridged, English-language version of the Magic Flute is part of this holiday season’s fare at the Metropolitan Opera.

That’s the famous Queen of the Night aria, from Mozart’s "The Magic Flute." The family-sized version of the opera – which in this case means a smaller version – is in English, and it’s onstage with massive puppets and more tonight at the Metropolitan Opera.
