If you saw the Oscar-winning documentary 20 Feet from Stardom, you know the singer Judith Hill. As a backup singer, she’s been on stage with Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Ringo Starr, and Michael Jackson. She even sang at Jackson’s funeral. But it was a surprise encounter with Prince that launched her solo career. The late, great Purple One saw that Hill had more to her than an ear for harmony: he produced her 2015 debut Back in Time.
