The indie rock community is rallying around two organizations it fears might be in trouble with the incoming administration. The ACLU and Planned Parenthood are the beneficiaries of two concerts featuring Sharon Van Etten, Kevin Morby, Grizzly Bear’s Daniel Rossen, and Zach Condon’s genre-blind band called Beirut. Beirut’s lineup and sound have varied over the years, ranging from Balkan brass instruments to stripped-down songs based around only piano, bass and drums.
Beirut is part of a stellar lineup playing tonight’s benefit concert at Music Hall of Williamsburg and then tomorrow night at Rough Trade.
