Country singer Kraig Moss used to travel across the country stumping for Donald Trump. When he was last on The Takeaway, he said he had traveled to dozens of rallies, motivated by then-candidate Trump's promise to combat the opioid epidemic, which took his son's life in 2014.

But these days, the guitar-toting musician from Oswego, New York, is singing another tune. Disappointed by proposed healthcare reforms, which aim to take away millions towards substance abuse services and will increase the overall cost for substance abuse patients, Moss says he feels that he was lied to.

"I'd realized at that point that that we'd all been shuffled aside," he says. "Although the little people were important to him during his campaign; Donald Trump became President Donald Trump, it seems he didn't quite reach out to the people and it was very, very disappointing."

Moss, who stopped paying his home mortgage to follow Trump around the country, is now facing foreclosure and says he does not have the heart to write new songs.  Moss says he doesn't want President Trump to fail, but no longer can throw his support behind the president, and instead is focused on cherishing the memory of his son.
