Folklorist Julian Lee Rayford on Paul Bunyan

This was the first in a series of four 1943 broadcasts of 'chants and songs' about 'American heroes' by folklorist, minstrel, and poet-singer Julian Lee Rayford. The subjects of the series were Paul Bunyon, this first program, and three other programs on Davey Crockett, Abe Lincoln and The Ballad of Springfield Mountain and an enchanted sermon Blueseed Lucifer Satan.  Incomplete. (March 11, 1943)

Julian Lee Rayford (1908-1980) was also a sculptor, journalist, and storyteller.
