Terrence McCoy, a reporter at The Washington Post, joins us to discuss his latest series on disability in rural America: “Disabled and Disdained.” He examines why disability benefits are twice as high in rural areas than in urban ones, how that is exacerbating tensions within these communities, and why these communities overwhelmingly vote for politicians who are against social welfare programs.
