A Mother is Forced to Confront Her Past in 'Edgar and Lucy'

The Leonard Lopate Show | Jun 28, 2017

Victor Lodato, playwright, novelist and winner of the PEN Center USA Award for fiction, joins us to discuss his new novel, Edgar and Lucy. It tells the story of eight-year-old Edgar Fini and his mother, Lucy. He remembers nothing of an accident that killed his father and left his mother with a limp. When Edgar meets a man with his own tragic story, Lucy has no choice but to confront the demons of her past.
