District Profile: California's 52nd Congressional

Thursday, July 10, 2014

In this week’s installment of our District Profiles series, we turn to California’s 52nd congressional district race, where the freshman incumbent Democrat Scott Peters will face Republican Carl Demaio in November.

Demaio is billing himself as a new kind of Republican — one that focuses less on social issues and more on “problem solving.”

Claire Trageser, reporter for KPBS in San Diego, joins Here & Now’s Jeremy Hobson to discuss Demaio’s chances of unseating Peters.
