Day One at the RNC: 7 Things to See

A team from WNYC is on the ground in Cleveland and, for the next few days, we’ll bring you sights, sounds and insider access. Here are seven things we've seen today that we think you should see, too.

1. A view from the floor of the Republican National Convention when some delegates tried to stop passage of the convention rules that are keeping delegates bound to Donald Trump. The anti-Trump delegates, ultimately, were not able to get a roll-call vote and the rules were passed:

2. A midday download from WNYC’s Matt Katz. 

3. All things Donald Trump.

4. Police from everywhere are everywhere. 

Law enforcement units from across the country are in town for the RNC to assist the Cleveland Police Department. These kids are having no luck trying to sell candy to Indiana State Police.

6. Unconventional signage.
