Seldes follows up regarding the Congressional investigations of tax-free institutions, though it seems there have not been many developments. This was the Reece Committee
He goes on to the potential budget cuts that may be made to the Library of Congress. No association can be allowed to run without any oversight. He reads an article by Arthur M. Schlesinger account. He speaks at length about Schlesinger's argument. Some anti-communism speech. Seldes believes there has been a rush of anti-intellectualism.
