Conflicts Rage On In Syria And Iraq

Syrian government forces and their allies captured another major eastern Aleppo neighborhood today, putting much of the city’s rebel-held areas under government control for the first time in years. This comes just days after the first U.S. casualty, a sailor killed near Raqqa, the de facto capital for ISIS.

Meanwhile, in Iraq, the offensive to retake the city of Mosul from ISIS continues.
