The host, due to time constraints, cut short a very excellent point being made by the community board member last speaking. Social media is fine, but there is not enough public information PUBLISHED to enable informing the communities about what is happening locally. It is so important to know that community board can be helping. Mayors have traditionally cut the monies available to community boards, staffing is limited, and getting volunteer labor to put out flyers etc is another limiting factor. The community board is actually the most important voice, close to the ground, in our government, and it is limited deliberately and accidentally. It is shameful that communities do not realize they do have the power to change things.
