Colm Toibin Retells An Ancient Greek Legend

The Leonard Lopate Show | Jun 8, 2017

Bestselling author Colm Toibin joins us to discuss his latest novel, House of Names. His novel reimagines the story of Clytemnestra and her plot to murder her husband, King Agamemnon, after he leaves for Troy. Clytemnestra begrudges the king for sacrificing their daughter, and rules the city along with new lover Aegisthus for nine years as they wait for him to return.
