A CNN crew embedded with Iraqi troops was trapped by ISIS in a muddy alley in Mosul.

Several of the Iraqis were wounded, and the soldiers and journalists sought safety with a terrified family in a house that then became the focus of ISIS fire. Eventually everyone was able to escape.

CNN international correspondent Arwa Damon joins Here & Now‘s Robin Young to talk about the experience.
